Hello Dear One,
As many of you know I have an adorable cavapoochon called Hope.
I wanted a dog for many years before she came into my life but I let everyone else’s opinions come first. It’s a tie, you won’t be able to travel as much, think about all the things you do after work, it’s expensive. Easier not to have one.
Here’s the thing: easy is not what I value.
I value growth.
I value new experiences.
I value love.
And I hear this a lot from clients and friends: I just do it for an easy life. I don’t like conflict. I don’t want to rock the boat.
Here’s the truth: when you’re living your life for other people life isn’t easy. Your self-worth will always be fragile as you’re looking elsewhere for validation.
I realised I had a pattern of (mostly) doing the thing anyway, but felt shaky. I had everyone else’s voices swirling around my head; didn’t give enough power to my own.
Now I listen to myself first.
Journaling (in the way I do) helped make that a reality.
My eight-week journaling course started yesterday – you can still sign up, get the replay and join us. I also have a glorious in-person event coming up soon.
And Hope, in case you’re wondering, only made my life better. She’s the best decision I ever made.
All love,
Jo
